
Sensory Training
We offer our customers sensory training (basic and advanced training) using pre-made flavor solutions or flavor sticks tailored to the specific needs of your company and the sensory qualities of your product.
Sensory training using selected compounds that represent specific odor impressions is helpful in developing a consistent "flavor language" and offers corresponding advantages over traditional product-based training.
Our flavor specialists have years of experience in the sensory evaluation of various foods, beverages, tobacco products, and consumer goods. From over 750 flavor components in stock, we can select those that best represent the key odor notes or off-odors of your product.
Basic Training
In our basic sensory training, you will receive a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals of sensory analysis (theoretical information about samples, test personnel, and testing facilities) and learn the most important testing methods (especially difference tests and descriptive tests).
In the practical part, the five established taste qualities (sweet, salty, sour, bitter, umami) and selected odor qualities will be presented using appropriate training materials (solutions or flavor sticks). An introduction to the associated flavor language will also be provided.
Advanced Training
Our product-specific advanced training is aimed at those who have completed the basic training or who already have relevant prior knowledge (especially regarding flavor language) in sensory analysis. Based on your products, we will determine the appropriate testing procedures and the required reference/training materials, and we will optimize and expand the associated flavor language.
